Hey there! Before we get started with the chapter, I would like to confess something. I messed up. Big time. Majorly. I was playing and taking screenshots, as one does when writing SimLit chapters. Long story short, I deleted all the pictures and have no pictures from a whole day of gameplay. This means that I am going to be writing the story and using filler images that I took afterwards to illustrate if I can get good ones, but I also just have a chunk of text in the middle of the chapter. That's the reason why there are so many words and no fun, funky little storylines. I just wrote down the important stuff (aspirations, aging up, etc.). Anyways, I hope you'll still enjoy this chapter! I decided that our small lot in Brindleton Bay probably wouldn't work for all the generations, as it was so small, so the Disneys moved to this lot in Windenburg. I then built them this house, which is really bare and windowless and has absolutely no landscaping. I used a lot of money to build the shell and buy the lot, and they could barely afford the house. I think they'll grow into it, though, and there's still space for them to add on. I want to use the big empty room on the first floor as a big, nice kitchen like in my old legacy family. I also want to use the toddler room as an office, but I feel like toddlers NEED to be on the same floor as the kitchen, so that's going to stay there for now. (When we moved, Remy was still a baby, but I took this picture after he aged up.) Because Ector was left at home, I set him to work on his aspiration. He managed to complete his first milestone before anyone got back from work/school. He had to meet 5 new people. There's these two folks who came to say hi. (Though it wasn't a welcome wagon.) This guy, Paka'a Uha, who is the spouse of one of my spares from said old legacy. Nancy Landgraab. I wanted to meet this person for our last person, because he was walking right next to Ector, but when I clicked on him, this was what showed up. So, we had to find someone else. Ector finished his first milestone with this angry looking (teen? I'm pretty sure she's a teen). And then Remy aged up! Here he is after a makeover. I think he's so adorable, and I would definitely pick him as the heir right now, just based off his name. I gave him green as his color, because Remy from Ratatouille cooks, and I just thought of green as in vegetables. I would have given him blue (Remy has blue fur), but his older brother is blue, and I just decided to go with green. All of my sims had horrible needs. Ector peed himself twice, Xerxes peed herself once, Remy almost got taken away twice, Xantos almost froze to death twice, and I forced Xion and Xantos to play on the monkey bars when they really needed to sleep. I'm such a good simmer. However, Mochi returned! So that was good. I was kind of worried about if she'd come back to us, because she was missing when we moved away, but then we moved to an island, but evidently she found her way. (I think I forgot to say that she'd run away last chapter, but she did.) She was also sick, so we took her to the vet. And then Xerxes went into labor! With our first girl! Say hello to Xyla Disney! Soon after, when checking in on the twins' aspirations, I realize that Xion had already completed his, and so once Xantos finishes his, I age them up into teens! We've got a full house now that Xyla has joined us, so I'm going to be trying my hardest to get them aged up again and move them out. I think they're pretty good looking. They look almost identical, but they have different skin tones and Xion's nose is thinner. They have the same lips, chin, and eyes, though. (For the record, they grew up horribly. Xion had this afro that looked way too big for his head, and Xantos had a weird dyed hair that looked greasy under an odd hat.) So I went back to play again and the household was just wack. Xantos was standing on the counter and two bowls were levitating. And all the food was spoiled. I tried resetting Xantos, but it didn't work. (I've never reset a sim, so I'm not sure if the cheat worked or not, but he just stayed there.) I had to go into build mode and move the counters. Also, here you get to see the outfits of the twins. They're crazy thin, which might be a result of the Rambunctious Scamp aspiration from their childhood. Anyways, to age them up ASAP, I'm playing that I need them to get an A in school and either finish their aspiration or top a teen career. Since Xion's aspiration is Big Happy Family, and he needs to become an adult for that, I gave both of them careers. Xantos is a retail employee and Xion a babysitter. While doing his homework, Ector has become good friends with Xion, though Xion doesn't look so happy. Xion and Xantos both got their dad's nose, which isn't my favorite, but is actually pretty similar to my nose irl. I couldn't find Mochi, and so I assumed she'd run away (her tab on the bottom of the screen looked like she'd run away as well), even though I hadn't gotten a notification. Then she showed up, again without the notification, but at least she's safe and sound at home! I added a little bathroom downstairs next to the toddler room because it was so hard to just have one bathroom for eight sims. I finally started working on Remy's potty, so here he is potty-trained by his stinky momma, who gave him a bath right after. I forced Ector to do this school project until he almost passed out. Yes, that is Mochi's stinky litterbox in the background that I keep forgetting to force my sims to clean out. Since Xion evidently really likes kids/babies, I've set him to the task of taking care of Xyla. Remy! That is your brother's school project! Remy: But nobody's feeding me and I'm tired!!! Oops. Demetrius exited the little bathroom to pee himself. I- I made Xion pay the bills when he got back from school. It's Demetrius' birthday! And nobody is there to celebrate! Woopwoop! He looks pretty much the same. And hey! A celebrant! Mochi! Wow! How lucky! Pretty sure that means Mochi is sick. Xyla has aged up! Joy! Two toddlers! She's so cute! Her color is purple, because that and yellow are the only colors of the rainbow we haven't done, and I was feeling purple vibes from her. And Xion took Mochi to the vet. I don't think she actually was sick because we didn't get a treatment option, but we picked up some wellness treats so it's okay. Xyla is such a cute sim! I think I've said this before, but I love this shirt from Jungle Adventure, and have dressed all of my toddlers in this family in this shirt (in different colors, of course.) So cute! When I went back to play, the new update was available, and I downloaded it. I went into build mode to try out the update (ladders, alt placing WINDOWS and DOORS!!!, etc), but when I went back to live mode, I was forced to quit the game because it wasn't loading. It was a really annoying glitch, and whenever I went into build mode I had to quit the game. Not sure if it has to do with the update or if my computer was really glitchy. I eventually realized that I could just go into manage worlds from build mode and then back into live mode, but it was really annoying, so I was very reluctant to place things down. I had to get this chess table, though, because both Xerxes' and Demetrius' aspirations called for a chess table. (We used to have one, but I sold it to afford the shell of the house.) I've also been fighting the instinct to remake the house. I do this a lot. I am always fiddling with my Sims' houses, but I don't want to overload you all with floorplans and all that, so I've decided I will TRY not to rebuild the house until our next heir or heiress starts their family. This house feels a bit small, though, so I might expand it a bit, but I'll try not to do too much fiddling. Apparently Mochi had been sick when we went to the vet, and since I couldn't figure out how to feed her a wellness treat, we had to take her to the vet again. I froze the game in this perfect moment. I made Xion start potty training Xyla while Demetrius fixed the toilet for his aspiration. It's winterfest! I feel really proud of myself for managing to get all the family here to decorate the tree. I then sent everyone to bed while Demetrius cooked a grand meal. Then Father Winter arrived and I sent everyone down to say hi and get presents. Poor guy, getting bombarded. Demetrius called everyone to a meal and everyone ACTUALLY ate the food intended. I was in awe. I oopsied and Father Winter only gave Xion and Xerxes presents, but Xion did get a microscope, so I'm not mad. Xerxes got a yoga mat. Then Father Winter left. I'm actually posting this before Winterfest is over in my game, so I'll hopefully remember to put a present pile under the tree when I get back to playing. Anyways, I'm going to leave this one here. I am starting an ISBI (I'm too impatient so I didn't wait for the results of the survey) which is going to be added to the rotation, so the next thing I post will be an ISBI, but I'll post chapter 5 of this series right after.
