Hey there! Welcome to the first chapter of my new challenge, an ISBI. In an ISBI, I try to play 10 generations, like a legacy, but I can only control one sim at a time, my torch holder. When the heir becomes a young adult, the torch will be passed to that heir and the former torch holder will be uncontrollable for the rest of their days. Before we get to playing, these are the rules I am going to be following: Gender Law: Equal. The torch holder/heir can be either male or female. Bloodline Law: Strict Traditional. Heirs must be the biologically related to the former torch holder. They cannot be adopted. Children may be adopted but will not be eligible as heirs. Heir Law: Random. As I don't believe enough people read my stories for an heir poll to be fair or even work, I will just randomize once the youngest child of the generation is born. If enough people start to read my ISBI, I will transition to a poll once the youngest child becomes a teen. Naming Theme: all names in this ISBI will be color-inspired. Baby Law: Each generation must have at least 3 children. This is our founder, Saige Ombré. She's kind of boring personality-wise and I've started to regret that Music Lover trait because if I want to give her another aspiration, there are so many other traits that would have worked better in general instead of specific to her current aspiration. But I think she's pretty and I have given her something of a background. She comes from an old Windenburg family who is pretty traditional. They owned a lot of land, but after a family tragedy, they decided to sell their land and move away. Saige really loved Windenburg and the lands, and convinced the family to leave her a small cottage and a portion of their land, and so she stayed behind in Windenburg in a little renovated cottage. Saige is going to be my first torch holder for the ISBI. Her name is a variant on Sage, which is a color of green. Here is her house. It's a micro house, which I really like. I love these floorboards from Jungle Adventure and really like the walls. Also - we can now alt place windows and doors and I'm so happy! It makes building so much easier and fun. I personally think this house is super cute and I did upload it to the gallery if you'd like it - my username is jbotellaa. I also like how it's so symmetrical, like it could have been renovated and the walls changed but the outside left alone. Here's the front. I think it's cute, but I'm not so sure about the blue door now that I'm looking at it again. In true ISBI fashion, when I started playing, a glitch occurred and I couldn't control Saige. (This is the same glitch as I've been suffering in my name game challenge, and I finally resolved it. Basically, I'd forgotten to update UI Cheats and MCCC, though the main glitch was caused by UI.) I started Saige on the piano right away. Also, can we talk about this amazing landscape? Maybe it's just my quarantine brain speaking, but it's so pretty! The welcome wagon arrived quickly, and I decided that this pretty sim would be our spouse unless she had a horrible personality. Her name is Siobhan Fyres. I think she's really pretty, and she does live in the house just above ours, on a hill or something. I'm going to say that the Ombré's sold their big mansion to the Fyres. Their relationship bar was shooting up, and I took this as a great sign. I later realized it was probably the magic of the micro home, but no matter. Siobhan and Sage soon became good friends. We learned that Siobhan is Ambitious and an Insider, which sounds like good spouse material to me! I'm not sure if the welcome wagon finished or Saige's singing sent them out the door, but the guests eventually left, so I had Saige run after Siobhan. Since their friendship was so high, I thought we could try for romance. And the flirt went down well! But when Saige went in for a kiss, Siobhan rejected her, shoving her away. After a smooth recovery, Siobhan headed inside and Saige followed. Now that. Is a face of inner pain and sadness. Another failed attempt at a kiss. Their friendship bar was going down, so I decided to get their friendship back up. And finally! Their first kiss! Aww. And they became girlfriend and girlfriend. Look how excited Siobhan is! Saige also asked Siobhan to move in with her, and she said yes. Siobhan: Hey, mom! Siobhan's Mom: Hey, honey! Where are you? Siobhan: You know that Ombré girl whose Welcome Wagon I went to? Well we're girlfriends now, and I moved in! Love you! Siobhan's Mom: Aww! Love you too! See you if the controller lets us, which is to say, never! heh. Siobhan likes her phone a lot. Here is Siobhan after her makeover! I also changed her last name to avoid any confusion when the two get married. I think her traits are pretty good, and she's super pretty. Saige proposed and Siobhan said yes! They kissed and then Siobhan leapt into Saige's arms, which I thought was super cute. The next day they got back from work and Siobhan had a promotion! Rgh. At least she isn't peeing herself or passing out instead of playing on her phone, I guess. I get to sell the gnomes and their seed packets after, but Harvestfest can still be really annoying. This gnome electrocuted Saige and broke the sink. Luckily, Saige appeased this evil-looking gnome, and I moved the vicious swimmer gnome into the yard. I also got Saige to cook them a grand meal and they ate it together. Well, as together as they could with one chair at the table. Saige then mastered her piano skill! I was going to wait until Saige and Siobhan got married for them to have kids, but some glitch was happening where I'd click on the "elope immediately" option but they wouldn't get married. I tried it with a wedding arch as well, but it wouldn't work either. So I decided to move on as if they were married. Saige wasn't pregnant, and I tried several times before deciding it was a glitch akin to the wedding one. I decided to get rid of both MCCC and UI Cheats and try both, and tried again for both. However, Saige had to go to work. Also, Siobhan cleaned the shower on her own, which really surprised/impressed me. Even though Siobhan really loves her phone, she's really useful around the house and I think we definitely hit the jackpot with ISBI spouses. Anyways, Saige came home and she and Siobhan got to work on a baby. And it worked! Baby one of generation two is on its way! This was Siobhan's reaction to Saige's pregnancy. At first she looked horrified, but then I guess she came around. I also redid their house, adding a bit more space and abandoning all semblance of a small home, since Saige had already mastered the piano skill and I didn't want to have to deal with the hassle of tiles. Siobhan finally took a break from her phone to go outside and play in the snow. Poor Saige. This pregnancy has been pretty rough. Oh, and she broke the toilet, so she's going to be repairing and cleaning that. She's barely in her first trimester, and she's already so big! I wonder if it's multiples. While I'd hate that, I've had experience with twins on the first go, in my Disney Name Game challenge. When Father Winter arrived, I sent Saige out to ask for a present. I almost sent Siobhan, too, and it made me sad to realize we couldn't get all the presents I wanted. Saige got a future cube from him, which apparently wasn't a good gift and meant she was on the naughty list. However, Saige and Siobhan were able to decorate the tree together and open presents from the pile I placed under there. Siobhan got a big pet poop as her present, and obviously wasn't so happy about that. Saige got a spice rack so, all in all, not great presents. Oh well. I also had Saige make a grand meal and call Siobhan to a meal. I realized that if my sims are ever starving during this ISBI, I could just make my torch holder call them to the grand meal. This picture is so cute, except for the robot trash can. I tried to cover the lights with Saige's body. Siobhan really had to go to the bathroom, but she went to work before wetting herself, which I really appreciated. Poor Saige. A heavily pregnant Saige has gotten a promotion! While working on her aspiration, Saige goes into labor, and Siobhan manages to have pre-parental panic on time. However, in this picture, it looks more like she's concerned for Saige and Saige is looking at her for reassurance, which I think is super sweet. They're such a cute couple. It's a girl! Please welcome little Aurelia Ombré. Aurelia comes from the latin word for golden. +5 Siobhan also made this cute snowpal. Though Aurelia's crib was in her moms' room, I moved her out so that Saige and Siobhan could get started on baby 2. I liked the idea of Aurelia having a brother or sister close to age, and I want to make life hard for myself. Siobhan is going to be carrying this baby. Saige: But Aurelia was just born! What do you mean, we're pregnant again? Siobhan: Aurelia is going to have a friend for when I neglect her because I am an ISBI spouse and free of the controller's powers! Saige: Alright. Sounds like a plan! Before long, it's Aurelia's birthday! Heh. I like this picture. Aurelia is super cute and I'm really glad she got her mom's red hair. I like to give my toddlers colors to dress them in, and hers is going to be yellow/orange - the closest to gold. Rgh. She peed herself. -5 This is Aurelia's room right now. I think it's cute. Rgh. Siobhan wakes up and goes into labor. Saige was at work, unfortunately, but she'll get to meet her daughter next chapter. Please welcome Clementine Ombré! A clementine is an orange citrus, and a color. +5 Anyways, that's where I'm going to be leaving this chapter. The next chapter I'll be posting will be for my disney name game challenge, but then I'll be right back for this one. Thanks for reading, and I'll see you all next time! Total Points: |
